Plan a trip
Develop plans and weather through a focused speaking itinerary.
Speaking task
Plan a weekend in Lecce with an Italian friend. Speak for 60–90 seconds. Use the forecast and programme: choose one Saturday activity, one Sunday morning activity, and an indoor plan for Sunday afternoon if it rains. Say how you will travel, ask your friend for one preference, and agree on times. Use at least three future forms for predictions or decisions; use present forms for fixed programme times if you wish.
- Tra due settimane andrò a Bologna per lavoro.· In two weeks I will go to Bologna for work.
- Domani lavorerò da casa.· Tomorrow I will work from home.
- L’anno prossimo visiteremo la Sicilia.· Next year we will visit Sicily.
- Che cosa farai ad agosto?· What will you do in August?
Performance and self-check
Keep the forecast and event times in front of you, but do not read full sentences. Record your plan and check that your friend can repeat where to go, when to meet, and what to do if Sunday rain starts after 14:00. Repeat with fewer notes. Check future forms such as «andremo» and «farà» against present schedule forms such as «il museo apre».
- Andrò in Puglia con mia sorella.· I will go to Puglia with my sister.
- Come ci andrete?· How will you get there?
- Prenderemo il treno. Partirà alle nove.· We will take the train. It will leave at nine.
- Che tempo farà?· What will the weather be like?
