Focus mission
Correct a misleading announcement, then redirect attention accurately.
Audit the announcement
A fictional Bellacqua social post says: «La città ha votato undici a sette per aprire la biblioteca ogni giovedì. Elena ha approvato il servizio e ha già speso novecento euro; personale e accessibilità sono confermati». Mark the false implications. Eleven and seven count voluntary comments, not a town vote. The report proposes three Thursday evenings in July, not every Thursday indefinitely. Elena signed a technical report; the committee examined it but did not vote. €900 is an estimate. Staff coverage and access still need checks. Write a short evidence key that links each correction to the fixed case record.
- Undici di diciotto commenti volontari sono favorevoli.· Eleven of eighteen voluntary comments are favourable.
- La commissione non ha ancora votato.· The committee has not yet voted.
- Tre giovedì sera sono proposti, non autorizzati.· Three Thursday evenings are proposed, not authorised.
- Le verifiche sul personale e sull’accessibilità restano aperte.· Staff and accessibility checks remain open.
Make two accurate interventions
Write a 180–220-word neutral Italian correction for library users. Then prepare a 90-second persuasive speech for the fictional culture committee that argues for either a conditional trial or postponement. In the speech, use a left or right dislocation to track an existing topic, a cleft to isolate a real point of contrast, and a pseudo-cleft for the missing decision. Add a two-line note explaining the intended focus of two of those choices. Both outputs must keep the same six core facts: signer, review without vote, proposed three evenings, €900 estimate, voluntary comment split, and pending checks. Persuasion may re-order facts; it cannot invent one.
- Il rapporto, lo ha firmato Elena; la commissione lo ha solo esaminato.· The report: Elena signed it; the committee only examined it.
- È la copertura del personale che dobbiamo verificare.· It is staff coverage that we must check.
- Quello che manca è una delibera.· What is missing is a resolution.
- Il preventivo è di novecento euro, non una spesa già sostenuta.· The estimate is nine hundred euros, not a cost already incurred.
