Syntax mission

Produce a clear public brief and defend its syntax.

Correct the false summary

The following fictional draft is intentionally false: «Approvate dal comitato, le tre aperture di luglio hanno attirato nuovi lettori: undici cittadini su diciotto le sostengono e novecento euro sono già stati spesi». Mark each unsupported claim. The committee examined Elena’s signed report but has not voted; staffing and accessibility checks remain. The three Thursday evenings are proposed, not completed. Eleven of eighteen voluntary comments are favourable and seven express concern; they are not a sample of the town. The €900 is estimated. Chiara has only drafted a plan to count entries and collect optional visitor feedback if the pilot is authorised.

  • La prova non è approvata né conclusa.· The trial is neither approved nor completed.
  • La stima è di novecento euro.· The estimate is nine hundred euros.
  • I diciotto commenti sono volontari.· The eighteen comments are voluntary.
  • Chiara propone misure future, non presenta risultati.· Chiara proposes future measures, not results.

Submit three linked outputs

First write a 220–260-word Italian public brief that gives status, proposed checks, conditional evaluation and its limits in that order. Include one clear concessive with «benché», one conditional with «qualora», and one safe ellipsis whose missing words you can state. Second give a 60-second spoken summary for residents: use shorter sentences but keep every factual limit. Third attach a syntax key: underline the main clause of your densest sentence, label its subordinate clauses and expand your ellipsis in full. Check that each pronoun has one referent. A good answer can support or oppose the proposed trial; it cannot report invented approval, attendance or causal results.

  • Benché il rapporto sia firmato, il comitato non ha ancora votato.· Although the report is signed, the committee has not voted yet.
  • Qualora il comitato autorizzi la prova, Chiara conterà gli ingressi.· If the committee authorises the trial, Chiara will count entries.
  • Undici commenti sono favorevoli; sette, critici.· Eleven comments are favourable; seven, critical.
  • Il conteggio descriverebbe tre serate, non un effetto permanente.· The count would describe three evenings, not a permanent effect.
