Dialogue and B2 portfolio

Write the same facts in informal and public registers.

Write two linked pieces

Create a 190–230-word Italian portfolio entry about the fictional library language-exchange evening. Part A is a 90–110-word group-chat dialogue between Anna, Luca, and Sara. Part B is a 100–120-word neutral public update from Anna. Together, the parts must say that Tuesday at 18:00 is proposed, the room and twenty chairs are requested, no place can yet be booked, and the library expects to reply by Friday noon. Luca drafts but does not publish the poster. He leaves Tuesday at 19:00; Sara can stay later if the event takes place and will check access after the room is known.

  • Anna: «Allora, ce la facciamo a preparare la bozza?»· Anna: “So, can we manage to prepare the draft?”
  • Luca: «Con la grafica me la cavo, ma aspetto la conferma».· Luca: “I can handle the graphics, but I will wait for confirmation.”
  • Sara: «A proposito, prima devo controllare l’accesso».· Sara: “By the way, first I need to check access.”
  • Anna: «Venti sedie, cioè non venti iscritti».· Anna: “Twenty chairs, that is, not twenty registrants.”

Shift register without changing evidence

In Part A, use at least two pronominal-verb chunks and two natural discourse markers. In Part B, replace chat shorthand with full sentences, clear roles, and explicit conditions. Revise both parts against the same fact list. Do not claim that the room, its accessibility, or any registration is confirmed. If no room confirmation comes by Friday noon, say the group will postpone. Read the public update aloud to check its clarity; this is a writing task, not an assessed recording.

  • Abbiamo richiesto una sala per martedì alle diciotto.· We have requested a room for Tuesday at 18:00.
  • La biblioteca dovrebbe rispondere entro venerdì a mezzogiorno.· The library is expected to reply by Friday noon.
  • Il percorso di accesso sarà verificato quando conosceremo la sala.· The access route will be checked when we know the room.
  • Se non riceveremo la conferma, rinvieremo la serata.· If we do not receive confirmation, we will postpone the evening.
