Complete B2 mission
Correct a false public claim with a B2 spoken reply and written note.
Final case: correct the announcement
In this fictional case, a public notice falsely says: “The library room and access are confirmed; twenty people have booked.” In fact, Anna’s group has requested a room and twenty chairs for a possible language-exchange evening next Tuesday at 18:00. The library expects to answer by Friday noon. Sara cannot check access until the actual room is known. There are no registrations. Luca has an unpublished poster draft and leaves Tuesday at 19:00; Sara can stay later if the event takes place. Give a 90-second public correction as Anna. Say what is known, what is not known, who will do each check, and what happens if no confirmation arrives. Use a natural discourse marker and one pronominal verb without making the public statement vague.
- Mi correggo: la sala non è stata confermata.· I correct myself: the room has not been confirmed.
- Insomma, ce la facciamo a preparare una bozza, non ad aprire le iscrizioni.· In short, we can prepare a draft, not open registration.
- La biblioteca ha detto che risponderà entro venerdì a mezzogiorno.· The library said that it will reply by Friday noon.
- Se la sala non sarà confermata, rinvieremo la serata.· If the room is not confirmed, we will postpone the evening.
Write the library contact a clear correction
Write a 180–220-word Italian email to the library contact. Identify and correct each false claim in the notice; do not ask the library to validate invented bookings. State the Tuesday proposal, Friday reply deadline, role of the room and access check, the poster’s status, and the postponement condition. Use at least three B2 structures from earlier Tappe: a conditional sentence, a passive, reported speech, a relative clause, a future perfect, or an implicit clause. Underline the three structures in your draft and explain why each helps clarity. Review grammar and facts separately before submission. No automatic assessment of the spoken reply or email is supplied.
- La sala in cui si terrà l’incontro non è ancora nota.· The room in which the meeting will take place is not yet known.
- Dopo aver verificato l’accesso, potremo aggiornare la locandina.· After checking access, we will be able to update the poster.
- Quando avremo ricevuto la conferma, vi informeremo.· When we have received confirmation, we will inform you.
- Le venti sedie sono state richieste, ma nessun posto è stato prenotato.· Twenty chairs have been requested, but no place has been booked.
