Write two short messages for different readers in the weekend case.
Message one: update Elena
Write a 90–110-word informal message to Elena. State the old and new expected train times, explain why you will miss the start of the set-up, offer one useful alternative, and ask Elena to confirm what you should do on arrival. Use the dossier rather than inventing a confirmed arrival. Include a past sequence or a clear reason-and-result link.
- Ciao Elena, il treno doveva arrivare alle 10:20.· Hi Elena, the train was due at 10:20.
- Ora l’avviso prevede un arrivo alle 10:55.· The notice now expects an arrival at 10:55.
- Perciò non potrò iniziare l’allestimento alle 11:00.· So I will not be able to start the set-up at 11:00.
- Potrei aiutare all’accoglienza: mi confermi se va bene?· I could help welcome visitors: can you confirm if that works?
Message two: write to the association
Write a 110–130-word formal note to the neighbourhood association before the 16:00 meeting. State your position on the proposed three-month Saturday-afternoon trial. Give one possible benefit and two conditions, including a step-free path or morning deliveries. Ask who will collect reports and when the trial would be reviewed. Say that the proposal is not yet approved. Check that an observation is not presented as an official measurement. Together, the two messages form a 200–240-word portfolio.
- Gentili organizzatori, vorrei esprimere un’opinione sulla proposta.· Dear organisers, I would like to give an opinion on the proposal.
- Penso che una prova limitata possa essere utile.· I think a limited trial could be useful.
- Tuttavia, il percorso accessibile e le consegne del mattino devono essere chiariti.· However, the accessible route and morning deliveries must be clarified.
- Potreste indicare chi raccoglierà le segnalazioni e quando le esaminerete?· Could you say who will collect reports and when you will review them?
