Describe a person and a room

Produce a short spoken response with the grammar and vocabulary from this Tappa.

Speaking task

Describe one person you know and four objects in a room. For the person, give a name or relationship and two visible or personal qualities. For the objects, say what each one is, its colour or size, and whether there is one or more than one. Ask your listener one question about a person or object.

Accuracy target: match the article, noun, and adjective in every description. Use è for one person and sono for more than one.

  • Sul tavolo c’è un computer nero.· There is a black computer on the table.
  • Ci sono due quaderni blu.· There are two blue notebooks.
  • La lampada è piccola.· The lamp is small.
  • Le finestre sono grandi.· The windows are large.
  • La mia amica è simpatica e alta.· My friend is friendly and tall.
  • I due studenti sono giovani.· The two students are young.
