High-level mediation

Transform source claims without upgrading their certainty.

Make a claim-and-source grid

You receive four fictional pre-opening source types in the next stop: an inventory note, an editorial exchange, a resident letter, and a public draft. Before adapting any one of them, label each sentence as observation, proposal, concern, or unsupported claim. «La panchina è vicino alla finestra» is observable in the case. «Mostriamo il quaderno domani» is a proposal, not a completed decision. «Come custodire le pagine?» is a concern. «Tutti i visitatori approvano» is unsupported before opening. Your grid must include the source voice and the exact limit. Do not merge several voices into an anonymous consensus.

  • Osservazione: la panchina si trova vicino alla finestra.· Observation: the bench is by the window.
  • Proposta: si potrebbe studiare una futura esposizione.· Proposal: a future display could be considered.
  • Preoccupazione: occorre capire come custodire le pagine.· Concern: they need to decide how to keep the pages.
  • Affermazione non sostenuta: tutti i visitatori approvano.· Unsupported claim: all visitors approve.

Transfer the same meaning to three readers

From the grid produce (1) a 60-word public update, (2) a 110-word internal decision note, and (3) a 45-second spoken answer to a resident. In the update, lead with tomorrow’s planned opening and explain the notebook status plainly. In the internal note, separate the factual record from options that remain under discussion. In the spoken answer, acknowledge the question, answer it, and check understanding. If a listener interprets «per ora» as a promise of later display, clarify that no later decision has been made. Audit all three for dates, agency, modality and unintended promises.

  • Domani aprirà lo spazio di lettura.· The reading space will open tomorrow.
  • La decisione sull’esposizione resta aperta.· The display decision remains open.
  • Capisco la domanda; per ora il quaderno è nella scatola.· I understand the question; for now the notebook is in its box.
  • Questo non promette che verrà esposto in seguito.· This does not promise that it will be displayed later.
