Complete C2 mission

Mediate the dossier across public, specialist and spoken settings.

Build the evidence file and repair a false announcement

Use the complete fictional dossier in stop 05 and the panel transcript in stop 06. The flawed announcement says: «La lettura ha già messo radici; i visitatori sono entusiasti. Silvio ha spostato la panchina. Il quaderno blu è già in mostra e i residenti approvano». Prepare a 200–240-word Italian evidence file. For each of the five claims, quote a source passage, classify the claim as observed, proposed, inferred or unsupported, and write a safe replacement. Then write a 120–150-word corrected public announcement. Include tomorrow’s planned opening, the bench’s current place, the entrance panel and the notebook’s present status. Keep the bench mover, visitor reaction and future display undecided where the sources leave them undecided. Nadia’s personal letter is not a resident poll.

  • «Già» presenta come avvenuto un uso ancora futuro.· “Already” presents future use as if it had occurred.
  • La panchina è vicino alla finestra; l’autore dello spostamento è ignoto.· The bench is by the window; the mover is unknown.
  • Marta tiene il quaderno nella scatola per ora.· Marta keeps the notebook in the box for now.
  • La lettera di Nadia non è un sondaggio.· Nadia’s letter is not a poll.

Deliver three audience outputs and explain your choices

Produce (1) a 220–270-word specialist editorial note explaining each repair and any meaningful punctuation or register choice; (2) a 170–210-word decision brief that states the notebook question without inventing a policy, vote or decision-maker; and (3) a recorded three-minute panel closing in which you address residents and the project team separately. In the spoken closing, acknowledge Nadia’s concern without presenting her as representative, answer the notebook question directly, and check one ambiguous response instead of guessing. Add a 100-word self-audit: compare the opening date, agency, certainty and audience purpose across all outputs, and identify where a metaphor or polite hint needed a factual limit or direct repair. Revise until no output contradicts another. This mission is a simulation, not a real public decision.

  • Il ritrovamento è documentato; l’esposizione non è decisa.· The discovery is documented; display is undecided.
  • Capisco la domanda: per ora il quaderno non è in mostra.· I understand the question: for now the notebook is not on display.
  • «Interessante» significa che sei d’accordo o hai una riserva?· Does “interesting” mean you agree or have a concern?
  • Ho cambiato il registro, non il grado di certezza.· I changed the register, not the degree of certainty.
