Figurative language mission
Rescue a promotional draft without flattening its voice.
Audit figurative claims before editing style
Mark the four unsupported implications. No period of public use has been observed; not all residents have been heard; the bridge is an interpretation, not a survey; and Marta keeps the notebook in a box while its display is undecided. The former station room is due to open tomorrow; the retained bench, new panes, shelves and panel are observable. Write a fact-versus-interpretation key before choosing a headline.
- Il nuovo uso non ha ancora preso piede.· The new use has not yet taken hold.
- La panchina è rimasta, ma è stata spostata.· The bench remains, but has been moved.
- «Ponte» è un’interpretazione limitata, non un sondaggio.· “Bridge” is a limited interpretation, not a survey.
- Il quaderno resta nella scatola per ora.· The notebook stays in its box for now.
Deliver a column, a plain notice and a spoken defence
Write a 300–360-word Italian cultural column for local readers. Keep at most one developed metaphor, identify its source and target, and attach a concrete supporting detail. Then write a 100–130-word plain-language notice with no idiom; it must preserve the same opening time and notebook status. Finally give a 90-second Italian answer to a fictional editor who argues that «trionfo» is a harmless synonym for «trasformazione». Explain the extra verdict it adds and why neither a single headline nor an invented mini-set proves language-wide semantic prosody. Add a four-line comparison showing exactly what the metaphor contributes and what it must not imply.
- La sala cambia funzione: domani aprirà per la lettura.· The room changes use: tomorrow it will open for reading.
- La panchina può suggerire un legame con il passato.· The bench may suggest a link with the past.
- «Trionfo» è una valutazione, non un semplice dato.· “Triumph” is an evaluation, not a simple datum.
- Non conosciamo ancora la risposta dei visitatori.· We do not yet know visitors’ response.
