Mediation mission

Repair a misleading public summary without erasing the project’s value.

Correct an inaccurate council statement

A fictional draft says: “Almost 100 different residents attended. More than 60% of repairs lasted. Thirty-one people have booked the next series. The programme cost exactly €1,460 in total, and transport problems affected the whole city. The extension is approved.” Give a 90-second oral correction to the council chair. Attribute each number to its source and define its unit or limit: 96 entries, 61 unverified codes, 42 of 68 objects working at session end, 31 intentions among 37 voluntary replies, €1,460 in invoices excluding volunteer time, and one resident’s transport account. No extension has been approved.

  • Il registro documenta ingressi, non cento identità distinte.· The register documents entries, not 100 distinct identities.
  • La durata del funzionamento dei quarantadue oggetti non è stata verificata.· The duration of function of the 42 objects has not been checked.
  • Le trentuno risposte esprimono intenzioni, non prenotazioni.· The 31 replies express intentions, not bookings.
  • La testimonianza sul bus non misura l’intera città.· The bus account does not measure the whole city.

Deliver a replacement note with a source key

Write a 300–360-word Italian replacement statement for the council record and an 80–100-word source key. The statement must preserve the project’s measured activity but correct all six false leaps in the draft. Recommend checks for distinct attendance, later repair function, transport routes, and full economic cost before a new decision. Use at least two same-actor implicit clauses and two attributed indirect reports; underline the actors and source labels in your draft. The source key must map claims to A register, B organiser note, C questionnaire, D finance memo, or E resident message. Do not invent approvals or later outcomes. No automatic assessment of speech or writing is supplied.

  • Dopo aver confrontato le fonti, distinguiamo misure e interpretazioni.· After comparing sources, we distinguish measures and interpretations.
  • L’associazione sostiene che siano stati coinvolti quasi cento cittadini.· The association claims that almost 100 citizens were involved.
  • Il promemoria precisa che le ore volontarie non sono state valutate.· The memo specifies that volunteer hours were not valued.
  • Prima di decidere su una nuova serie, definiamo indicatori verificabili.· Before deciding on a new series, let us define verifiable measures.
