Revised C1 dossier
Write a source-attributed recommendation and document your revisions.
Draft for a decision-maker
Write a 650–800-word Italian briefing to the fictional Valdombra culture committee. Use the seven documents in the reading and the lecture transcript, not invented outside facts. Open with your recommendation and decision status. Then give a short 1904 chronology, evaluate the four historical source types, compare Elena’s and Mauro’s positions, explain the 24-page scope and the €12,000 estimate by its three lines, and state the four-of-six quotation limit. Close with explicit conditions: rights, readable access, comparison with other centre activities, and a committee vote. Distinguish an estimate from a cost already authorised.
- Raccomando un pilota condizionato, non l’apertura immediata.· I recommend a conditional pilot, not immediate opening.
- Il taccuino registra la crepa; il verbale descrive il danno dopo la piena.· The notebook records the crack; the report describes damage after the flood.
- Le lettere mostrano due posizioni, non un sondaggio della città.· The letters show two positions, not a city survey.
- La commissione non ha ancora deliberato.· The committee has not yet decided.
Make revision visible
Add a source key of 80–120 Italian words after the briefing, outside its word target. Identify documents A, B/C, D/E, F, and G by claim type and limit. Then show three before/after edits: change «Marta salvò trenta persone» to a source-bounded sentence; change «La mostra è approvata» to the actual status; and replace one inflated or ambiguous term with precise wording. For each edit give a one-sentence reason. Check pronoun reference, implicit-clause actors, tense sequence, connectors, and formal register. The final submission consists of the briefing, source key, and revision log.
- Prima: «La mostra è approvata». Dopo: «Il voto è stato rinviato».· Before: “The exhibition is approved.” After: “The vote was deferred.”
- Prima: «Il ponte crollò». Dopo: «La piena danneggiò il ponte».· Before: “The bridge collapsed.” After: “The flood damaged the bridge.”
- Il documento B contiene stime, non fatture.· Document B contains estimates, not invoices.
- La nota C limita le citazioni pubbliche.· Note C limits public quotations.
