Inside a newsroom

Meet a fictional source, article, and inaccurate social post.

Three different voices

On 12 May 2026, in a fictional town, spokesperson Marta Rossi announces a possible public writing workshop. A newsroom reports her statement on 13 May. A social post falsely says the workshop begins on 13 May and thirty participants have been selected. Keep the spokesperson’s words, the reporter’s wording, and the post separate.

The facts in the statement

Marta says registration is planned for 13 May, thirty places are planned, and a 3 June start is possible only if the room is available. She says no one has been selected. A promised online form has not been independently verified. A responsible report attributes these claims and marks what remains unknown.
