Name a source, a finding, a limit, and a recommendation.
Research terms
Learn la fonte (source), il registro (log), il campione (sample), il conteggio (count), and il rispondente (respondent). A count of entries is not a count of unique users. The twenty-five people approached were present in the library, so their replies cannot automatically represent everyone.
- La prima fonte è il registro degli accessi.· The first source is the entry log.
- Il campione del questionario è limitato.· The questionnaire sample is limited.
- Il conteggio riguarda gli ingressi tra le sedici e le diciotto.· The count covers entries between four and six.

Briefing terms
Use il risultato osservato (observed finding), il limite (limit), la causa (cause), la raccomandazione (recommendation), and la sintesi (summary). A careful summary says what was observed, then what remains unknown. Do not use causa when the study has no comparison group to isolate an effect.
- Il risultato osservato è una differenza di quaranta accessi.· The observed finding is a difference of forty entries.
- Un limite è l’assenza di un gruppo di confronto.· One limit is the absence of a comparison group.
- Non possiamo stabilire la causa dai soli registri.· We cannot establish the cause from the logs alone.
- La raccomandazione è prolungare la prova e raccogliere altri dati.· The recommendation is to extend the trial and gather more data.
