Executive brief

Write a compact decision note with evidence limits intact.

Write for the council chair

You are Giada. Write a 190–230-word Italian executive brief to the fictional library council chair. State the choice about extending the fifteen-table trial for two months. Give the two log totals (160 before, 200 after in four Tuesday afternoons each), the forty-entry difference, and the questionnaire result (eighteen of twenty-five returned; twelve reported easier use). Identify at least two limits: entries are not distinct users, the sample is small, no comparison group exists, and noise was not measured. Recommend a defined next data check.

  • Oggetto: sintesi della prova dei quindici tavoli.· Subject: summary of the fifteen-table trial.
  • Confrontando i registri, ho rilevato quaranta accessi in più.· Comparing the logs, I found forty more entries.
  • Dopo aver letto i questionari, ho distinto le opinioni dai conteggi.· After reading the questionnaires, I kept opinions separate from counts.
  • Non abbiamo misurato il rumore né identificato utenti distinti.· We did not measure noise or identify distinct users.

Make every compact clause clear

Use three short parts: finding, limits, recommendation. Include one gerund with an explicit main-clause actor, one after-reading infinitive clause, and one participial phrase whose noun and agreement are clear. Do not reduce the note by changing accessi to persone or by deleting the comparison-group limit. End with a proposed two-month trial and a way to assess accessibility.

  • Esaminati gli otto registri, propongo una prova più lunga.· With the eight logs examined, I propose a longer trial.
  • Senza un gruppo di confronto, la causa della differenza resta incerta.· Without a comparison group, the cause of the difference remains uncertain.
  • Il consiglio dovrebbe mantenere gli stessi orari di conteggio.· The council should keep the same counting hours.
  • Suggerisco di verificare l’accessibilità e ascoltare i non utenti.· I suggest checking accessibility and hearing from non-users.
