A short diary entry
Write a short complete text and check it with a clear language checklist.
Writing task
Write a diary entry of 90-110 words about one weekday. Organize it into morning, afternoon, and evening. Use at least eight present-tense verbs.
After writing, underline each verb and verify its subject and ending.
- Oggi è lunedì e lavoro da casa.· Today is Monday and I work from home.
- Comincio alle otto e mezzo.· I begin at half past eight.
- Scrivo molte e-mail.· I write many emails.
- A mezzogiorno preparo il pranzo.· At midday I prepare lunch.
Model and editing check
Use the models as sentence frames, but change the information. Check verbs, agreement, small words, spelling, accents, and punctuation before you finish.
- Nel pomeriggio finisco un progetto.· In the afternoon I finish a project.
- Alle sei incontro un amico.· At six I meet a friend.
- Non ceniamo tardi.· We do not have dinner late.
- Prima di dormire leggo qualche pagina.· Before sleeping I read a few pages.
