Articulated prepositions
Italian combines a preposition with a definite article. Common forms are del, della, dei, al, alla, ai, nel, nella, sul, and sulla. Learn them in useful phrases, not as isolated endings.

Form, meaning, and contrast
Compare the second set of models. Identify the contrast in meaning, then check verb form, agreement, pronoun position, and the logical relation before you produce a new sentence.
